About Sarah Kate Young

Sarah Kate Young is a multimedia artist living in Southwest Florida. After growing up in North Carolina and attending the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Sarah Kate and her husband relocated to the sunshine state. Following the arrival of a daughter, Cooper Katherine, Sarah Kate left her career as an Elementary Art teacher to focus on her own art.

Sarah Kate has experimented with many techniques and art forms, from stained glass to pottery to needle felting. Though always curious to explore new mediums, Sarah Kate’s focus always returns to her love for painting. Sarah Kate consistently draws inspiration from the tropical landscape around her. She uses the brightest of colors and most saturated hues to express the vibrancy she so loves.
